Monday 8th August 2011: gig number nine.

As August approaches and the nation’s comedians venture northwards to spend money they don’t have in the precarious pursuit of something resembling success at an art form that tortures their stupid souls, it’s lucky for you that some of the more sensible/skint ones stay at home. Luckier still that our headline act is taking time out from his nationwide tour of arts centres and theatres to join us for the evening:

KEVIN PRECIOUS

“Kevin’s stage charisma and poise set him head and shoulders above the previous acts.”
The Times.
“If he were any more laid back he’d fall over – we fell over laughing.”
The Evening Standard
“Instantly recognisable stage presence and boundless wit.”
Leicester Mercury
“Delightfully funny and thought provoking.”
Arts in Leicestershire

And of course our ensemble of bright young things:

Kiri Pritchard McLean
Ryan Brown
Ed Easton
Danny Cox
and
Scott Bennett

Doors 7.45pm; Show 8.00pm
Admission: £2
Facebook event

Be there, be square.

P.S. I cannot promise cake, as I’m off up to Edinburgh right after the gig. So you may have to make do with some of the North’s best up and coming stand-ups and a touring pro for two quids. Rich x
