Sunday 25th May: The Oblong Show

The third (and possibly final) Oblong Show will be one of comedic complexity and soul-searching silliness. It will include all of the people below being encouraged by the enabling embrace of the audience. Please enable us this pre-bank holiday Sunday. Disclaimer: This is an experimental show. Safety goggles are not required but you may wish to bring your own.

The Venerable BedeThe Venerable Bede & The White Chris Rock

The Venerable Bede has been a major attraction on the UK comedy circuit for over 1,300 years now, wowing audiences in clubs up and down the country with the kind of hilarity only a monk from medieval Jarrow could muster. He’s joined by his sometime touring partner, The White Chris Rock, who is like Chris Rock but white. When they’re not them, they are the superb character comedian and actor Lee Fenwick, who is responsible for a plethora of comic creations. He’s made multiple TV appearances from Comedy Central’s The World Stands Up to Channel 4’s Cardinal Burns, and is a collaborator with some of the North’s most exciting comic minds on SOS TV Live at the Three Minute Theatre and Sketchole at The Lowry. He’s well funny.
