Sunday 30th November: The Oblong Show

The Oblong Show

The Oblong Show has retaken its vows to sketch, characters and comic miscellany with this delightful line-up of friends and friends who don’t know they’re friends yet. Doors are at 7pm, the show starts at 7.30pm and all the acts will definitely be informed of that. There will be no mucking about, it will be serious comedy executed with logistical acumen so come correct with your laughter.
Sam & Tom

Sam & Tom

These child stars come of age are national treasures and need no introduction, but allow me to humour you all the same. These are bad boys who don’t mess around, and don’t you forget it! They’re making their big come-back and you can be a small, tiny, insignificant part of their journey back to the top. There may be music, tears, big hearty laughs and deeply unsettling scenes for which counselling will be available after the show, at very competitive rates. In a previous incarnation Sam & Tom were 2/3 of a critically acclaimed sketch group who won the ‘So You Think That’s Funny’ Best New Sketch Act award. Those dark days are behind them now, and these bright young things have come out of rehab with an urge to entertain hard enough to be commissioned to make a show for ITV2.

plus

Peter Brush

BBC New Comedy Award finalist, Brush has a sideline in informative presentations on a variety of topics. It promises to be insightful and thought-provoking. Like a TED talk but even radder.

Frasco Fools

A sketch group with legit credentials who have been impressing audiences and competition judges from London to Hull, which in itself demonstrates a commendable versatility.

Leo & Liam

Another duo who have dreamt up all sorts of fun between them, with great wit and hilarious drollery. They also get bonus points for alliteration.

Heavy Petting

An absurdly hilarious sketch group out of Middlesbrough whose gender is plural and interests are faffing, pottering, regime change & dicking about.

and host

Rich Milner

Upstanding pillar of the community whose commitment to live comedy fills a void.
