Monday 8th December

Not only is Jesus’ birthday approaching, it is also our 4th birthday show! In independent comedy club years we’re getting on a bit, and that’s entirely due to the wonderful audiences who’ve made it such a special little gig. Though it may also have a something to do with having really good comedians on, much like the ones below.

Stephen Carlin

Stephen CarlinCarlin has earned critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fan base with his original and insightful writing style and accomplished delivery. He is a very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references. From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of International snooker, Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. This man is well on his way to become Scotland’s newest addition to its history of brilliant comedians. He was also named by Stewart Lee as one of the ‘Ten Best Comedians in the World Ever’, and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Alternative Comedy Experience.

‘So thoughtful you would put your house on him reinventing the knock knock joke… Announcing the arrival of a new comedy original.’ – The Herald

‘Fast establishing himself as one of the most distinct and funny new comedians in Britain’ – Steve Bennett, Chortle

‘The material is sharp and original’ – The List

‘The whimsy and relaxed on-stage demeanour were a winner instantly… excelled in pedantry, married to exceptional use of language’ – Leamington Observer

Will Duggan

Will DugganAn exciting emerging talent on the circuit, Duggan has wonderfully crafted and perfectly poised material exploring, amongst other things, his own shortcomings and the dubious progress brought about by human evolution. He’s also the proud owner of a shiny new Fosters Comedy Award Panel Prize obtained in his role in Funz and Gamez at this year’s Edinburgh fringe.

‘Watertight material and perfectly paced delivery’ – Spotlight Comedy

‘with his mixture of high energy and general affability the audience loved him from the second he opened his mouth’ – Comedy Store Young Guns
