Monday 8th September

After an August-long hiatus we’re joined this month by a lovely line-up jostling with distinctive voices and styles and blimey there’s baked goods to boot. Please be aware that it’s now £5 on the door, but fear not this stark inflationary reality, as it’s still £3 online, and there are also food, drink and ticket deals available via The Red Deer.

Jessica Fostekew

Jessica FostekewA smart and compelling presence on the circuit, Fostekew has been performing improvised comedy and working as a comedy actress since 2005. In 2008 she hit the UK stand up circuit like a thunderbolt of joy and became a finalist in the Funny Women’s Awards in 2010. With acclaimed and sold out fringe shows under her belt, she has been praised for being clever, silly and very funny. She has appeared on Stephen K Amos’ Radio 4 show and supported both Micky Flanagan and Terry Alderton on tour across the UK, so we’re very excited that she’ll be joining us at the Red Deer.

Lewis Charlesworth

Lewis CharlesworthOne of the most enjoyable stage presences on the North West comedy circuit, Lewis is the only person ever to guest host Square Hole and is delightfully silly and exuberantly energetic. He’s a regular face on stages hither and thither and is soon to appear on the BBC’s upcoming Big Afro-Caribbean Comedy Night showcase.

‘very natural and most certainly funny. He is definitely a name to look out for in future!’ – Nerve Magazine
