Sunday 28th February

Oh my days, it’s Bec Hill and Sarah Bennetto! They’re on a bit of a Northern tour and are stopping off at the Red Deer along the way. This is super great news, and this show will be all of the fun you can handle on a Sunday night in Sheffield.

Bec Hill

Bec HillAustralian-born and now London-based, Bec has gained a cult following in Australia, the UK and Ireland thanks to her acclaimed solo shows and hugely popular YouTube videos, which have garnered over 200,000 views globally. She has a talent for incorporating arts and crafts into her stand-up routines; creating a unique and unforgettable comedy style that she calls “paper-puppetry”. Last year, she appeared at London’s famous Union Chapel with Alan Davies, Jimmy Carr and Kevin Eldon, and Galway’s Black Box Theatre alongside Milton Jones, Rob Delaney and Abandoman. She was also the support act for “Axis of Awesome” on their UK tour. She’s a returnee to Square Hole, and if you saw her last year I’m sure you’ll be eager to see and hear more of her comedy brilliance. If you haven’t seen her before, rectify that appalling situation.

Sarah Bennetto

Sarah BennettoFrom Melbourne and now living and performing in the UK, Bennetto has appeared on stage, radio and television as a stand-up comic and presenter, and is responsible for experimental comedy collective Storytellers’ Club. She has a long list of credits to her name since competing in a national comedy search in Australia and going on to take several acclaimed shows to the Edinburgh festival. She is a skillful raconteur whose anecdotal style takes audiences through layers of hilarity and and poignancy which other would comedians struggle to reach.
