// THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT // It’s been nearly 7 years since a handful of people turned up to the first Square Hole gig. Not much has changed since then (though we didn’t have a stage then, and do now) but thanks to the lovely, savvy audience that turn up with cockle-warming frequency, the amazing talent of the acts who perform for us, the wonderfully welcoming venue with its absolutely top-notch staff, and perhaps the goodwill generated by the provision of baked goods, the gig has become more than the sum of its parts. For our birthday show we’re super chuffed to have booked an absolute favourite of many a comedy lover (included below are just a couple of press and peer quotes illustrating this). We also have four superb support acts, because the more the merrier! // THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT //
Law is one of the most revered acts on the comedy circuit. A master of surreal, daft, and absurd brilliance, he’s won multiple awards and received countless nominations across the board and across the world. He happens to be of Canadian extraction, lives in London, and orbits the cosmos in a fashion unfathomable to those of us tethered to terra firma. His extensive TV and radio appearances include: Have I Got News For You, The Alternative Comedy Experience, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Squares, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Heading Out, The Culture Show, Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe, Edinburgh Nights, Russell Howard’s Good News, Tony Law’s Surreal Guide To Surreal Comedy, Loose Ends and Infinite Monkey Cage.
