Sunday 28th October: Jack Evans & Siân Docksey

Square Hole Comedy presents this bonus double bill of shows because it can and it’s the only proper thing to do! Jack performed an early preview of ‘Work’ back in November of last year, and Siân spoiled us with some elements of ‘Interdependent Woman’ before the summer. Now, because they’re both great, they’re each bringing their finished articles back for us on this special night.

Jack Evans

JACK EVANS: WORK

Workers of the world: please stop! Jack Evans, lizard prince of Manchester’s alternative circuit, presents a punchy, out-there hour about work: its history, its present and a future without it.

“An alternative tour de force” — ★★★★ Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“As a comedian, his skills are undeniable” — ★★★★ The Wee Review

“Go see him if you like weird stuff” — ★★★★ Short Com

“As inventive and unsettling as a one-man League of Gentlemen” — Vice

“Evans is clever, creative and funny” — The Scotsman

SIÂN DOCKSEY: INTERDEPENDENT WOMAN

Siân DockseySiân’s mum is worried about her. So Siân has told her she’s a successful stand-up comedian on a cruise ship. This is a show that aims to maintain that lie. A fresh stand-up show about neoliberalism and being at sea from an avocado-carrying member of the millennial snowflake brigade.

“Joy and bewilderment in equal measure” — ★★★★ The Skinny

“Siân Docksey has got her weird in order” — ★★★★ Funny Women

“I ain’t ever seen anything quite like that!” — ★★★★ Mumble Comedy
