Sunday 6th November

Every attempt is made to make each Square Hole line-up a thoughtfully balanced compilation of established and emerging talent and contrasting voices and vibes, and this gig more than meets those criteria. The talent quota below is so high, they would be over-qualified to run the country.

Foxdog Studios

Foxdog Studios

Foxdog Studios are IT professionals, Lloyd Henning and Peter Sutton, who accidentally started making live comedy shows with technology. Combining comedy, computer programming and rock music, they’ve have made a name for themselves one of the most innovative comedy acts around. Bringing multimedia audience participation to the mobile phone in your pocket, the duo has performed their unique brand of comedy to sold-out audiences nationwide and played at festivals in the UK and beyond. Their early shows earned them a nomination for the Chortle Award for Innovation, along with nominations for the Malcolm Hardee’s Award for Comic Originality and Act Most Likely to Make a Million Quid.

Their 2018 Edinburgh Fringe show Robot Chef sold out in advance, with extra shows added to meet the phenomenal demand. It earned them a British Comedy Guide recommendation along with spots on numerous publications’ top picks of the Fringe, including The Independent’s ‘Best Comedy Shows to see’, The Scotsman’s ‘Most Unusual Comedy Shows at the Fringe’ and The Skinny’s ‘Top Picks’. It was then named Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2019.

During lockdown they took to Twitch where they streamed a plethora of interactive games and activities and enabled our host, Rich, to fire a sausage from a cannon in Manchester whilst sat in his living room in Sheffield, a moment of as yet unparalleled joy in his life.
